One of the most fun events of the year! This 5-miler is unique – a classic, scenic Richmond run…with obstacles. Yep, obstacles.
What kind of obstacles? Well…

  3. The Rolfe Rampage: Mud Pit
  4. Sir Thomas Dale’s Dip: Run through the James
  5. The Pocahontas Picnic Pounce: Picnic table climb
  6. Graveyard Crawl: Army Crawl
  7. The Lagoon Lap: Run through lagoon
  8. Mt. Malady’s climb: Run on the rocky ridge
  9. Henricus Hill: Hill Climb
  10. Cypress Point Sink Hole: Muck through the channel
  11. The Wattle Wall: Wall of hay bales
  12. Buttercup’s Mud Pit: Mud Pit

This 5-miler may start and finish on a historic settlement and wind through a scenic conservation area, but it is definitely NOT a walk in the park! Take a trail that’s fun to run any day of the week and throw in a bunch of intense obstacles, and you’ve got yourself one heckuva race! Did we mention there’s a muddy 1-miler for the kiddos and a rockin’ post-race festival? Yeah, it all amounts to this strangely awesome combo of history and nature mixed with mud, sweat and… beer.
